Weekend Reset Checklist For College Girls

Looking for a good weekend reset checklist for college that doesn't take the whole day to do? I get it! Here are my essentials that I try to do at least once a week! Feel free to adapt it to what works for you and your schedule, but regardless, even if you do a few, I'm sure it'll help your mindset coming into the week.

Hey, y'all! My name is Isabella, and I’m a college student learning how to navigate adulthood right alongside you! Today, I will give you a Weekend Reset Checklist For College Girls!

1. Get ready for the day

"Look good, feel good, do good!" is a mantra I 100% agree with. Get up, take care of yourself, and get ready for the day! Put on a cute outfit, put together a new jewelry stack, try something new in your makeup, and so on.

2. Clean & Declutter your room

This is your time to do whatever cleaning & decluttering helps you reset. Wash your sheets, wipe down your surfaces, take the trash out, hang up all those clothes that didn't quite make it back on the hanger...and so on!

One of my favorite tips is to set a timer for 30 minutes and tidy your space to the best of your ability. This is my absolute favorite time-conscious thing to do at least once a week, and I promise it will not only reset your space but also your mind as you enter a new week.

I love the concept of setting a timer because, for all the competitive people out there, it pushes me to get as much done within the time limit as possible to beat my previous week's tidying record and optimize my time.

3. Brain dump & plan your week

Brain-dump everything you need to accomplish this week onto one list or piece of paper. Get it all out of your brain so that you can delegate as much as possible and plan when you will get your tasks done. See if there's anything you can eliminate to save time. For example, instead of going to pick up gift wrapping and tissue paper, order them on Amazon.

My favorite way to stay organized during the school year, coming from a chronic to-do lister, is to use Google Keep, where I have created a list for each day of the week. Here is an example of how I have mine laid out.

4. grocery shop

Always make a list before you leave! & check what ingredients you already have for recipes you may be making that week. This helps prevent unnecessary buying. And if you're running low on time, consider doing a grocery pick-up order; this is one of my favorites for saving time!

5. meal prep

If you're a meal prep girl like me, then this is your time to shine! My favorite hack for time-efficient meal prep lately has been asking ChatGPT to help me come up with crockpot recipes, which are both easy and time-efficient.

6. Everything shower & self-care

Make time at the end of the night to do things you love! Whether that's watching your favorite TV show, doing a face mask, reading a book, or spending some quality time with your friends, make time to enjoy the things you work hard to be able to have.

I hope this post has helped you feel more prepared to tackle your weeks during school! Be sure to allocate time for rest and self-care. If you're looking for more college advice, check out What To Pack In Your Backpack In College or How To Find Christian Community In College.
