In honor of being back to school, it is time to get involved, which means interviews! Here are some of my favorite affordable business dresses for interviews. Most interviews will be business casual and potentially business professional, so here are a few options! (If you can’t tell after looking at these links…I LOVE a tweed dress, and of course, it is a wonderfully classic option for business outfits.)
Tweed mini dresses
- This adorable tweed mini dress comes in 15 colors! This fit provides an elevated, professional look while also having youthful flair. The neutrals and colorful dresses are all gorgeous. My favorites are navy, beige, blue, green, and red.
- This dress is incredibly similar to the one listed above but is sleeveless. I wanted to include it because it might appeal more to some people.
- This button-down, sleeveless mini dress comes in three classic colors. I recommend sizing up or at least ensuring your dress is not too tight or bodycon. You want to look cute while still looking respectable and professional.
- If you read last week's mini blog Monday, you know I love bows! I couldn't pass this up because, with the right fit, this dress would be adorable!
- I am obsessed with this girly button-down dress in both blue and grey. It has a stunning print and is such a flattering style.
- Another tweed button-down…but they’re just so perfect for a stylish yet sophisticated look! Plus, the puff sleeves add the perfect detail! To stay mature, I would go for the blue or pink color, not the rose color.
- A fit-and-flare button-down tweed dress! This might be my favorite combo. It comes in black, white, and pink. All of them are adorable!!
- Here is another sleeveless tweed option however this one is button-down. Again, make sure this dress fits you well so that it isn't skin-tight on your body to ensure a modest look.
- This keyhole tweed dress is stunning. This is a very respectable dress and is a wonderful business professional option for a more serious approach.
Non-tweed mini dresses
- This mini dress with the bow-neck tie is stunning! I'm obsessed. I linked 2 options, the green and red versions, because the red is significantly cheaper. The bow provides a unique flair to an otherwise classic and modest outfit!
- This dress is a sophisticated and stylish option for a classic mini dress.
- This split-neck dress is adorable! It's very sophisticated and can be dressed up with heels and accessories or dressed down with mules or flats and muted jewelry. The Guava, Samba, and Sky Captain colors are my favorites!
- This button-down fit-and-flare dress adds a fun flair with its buttons to a sophisticated black look. Again, to maintain a classy look, make sure this dress is not bodycon.
- I am simply obsessed with this V-neck ruffle dress with ties! It is darling yet very conservative. The ruffles and tie make this dress fun and youthful, while the style and color are otherwise modest and respectable.
Midi/Maxi dresses
- This timeless maxi dress comes in 5 gorgeous colors and is belted for a flattering look! I love this style!
- Tie-front maxi dress! I love the dark green and navy colors of this dress. The tie gives it a very flattering look, and it is only $40!
- This style is stunning! It is such a flattering fit with the pleats and wrap buttons. It also comes in long sleeves, but the sleeveless looks more youthful!
- This belted wrap dress is a fantastic business professional option when paired with some close-toed heels. It comes in 3 classic colors and provides a conservative yet appealing fit. It is a bit more pricey but a timeless piece you could keep for years.
- This long flowy pleated maxi dress is absolutely stunning! You could leave a few of the buttons at the top undone for a more youthful look. This dress is versatile and can be dressed up or down.
