7 Self-Care Night Rituals Every College Girl Needs

Being intentional with your time while being a busy college student is already difficult, but making intentional time for your self-care while in college can be even more difficult. I truly get it! So here are my top tips for how to spend a self-care night productively and in a way that will rejuvenate you!

1. tidy up your room & arrange it how you like it.

Tidy your room & space so you feel peaceful and clean as you begin your self-care night and start to unwind. Take 5-1o minutes to do a quick tidy of your room. Pick up all those clothes that have been thrown on the ground in your room...(we're all guilty of this lol).

After you make sure to do just a quick tidy of your space, then make sure you arrange it justtt how you like it! Some of my must-dos for these self-care nights are: fill up my water bottle & put it on my nightstand, make a hot cup of tea, grab some snacks & put them on my nightstand, turn down my bed & fix the pillows how I like them.

2. Plan your day for tomorrow.

Determine your top 3 most important tasks & make a plan to get them done first thing tomorrow so you won't be stressing about them all day. Learn exactly how I plan my week out with intention & how I time block each day, Exactly How I Plan My Week As A Type A Girl Trying To Do It All (without burning out) or The Busy College Girl's Guide To Time Blocking: Balance Classes, Campus Involvement, and Faith.

Some other things to do are set out your clothes for the next day, charge all your devices, or meal prep lunch for tomorrow!

3. Take a luxurious & long shower with intention.

Take your time showering, enjoy it, make the little things in your routine like this into something you truly enjoy and look forward to each day!

Make it special however you need to. Light a candle, turn on your favorite music, put on some self-tan, use all your fancy products just because, and so on!

4. do grooming things that maybe aren't so fun, but make you feel your best after.

Do the random little grooming tasks that maybeee aren't very fun, but that make you feel so much better once you get them done. Seriously, you know what I mean, like when you shave and exfoliate your legs and then put on your favorite pair of pjs and climb into your clean bed. Yep.

Or for example, waxing, tweezing your eyebrows, giving yourself a lash lift, dyeing your eyebrows, and so on!

5. Make a fun drink for yourself.

Make your favorite hot tea, hot cocoa, or a good ole mocktail.

I am so here for all of the awesome mocktail recipes I have been seeing lately, and I highly recommend y'all give it a try. This is another one of those random little seemingly insignificant switches you can make in your life to make the mundane things more enjoyable!

6. journal.

Ok, I totally used to think this was silly and overplayed, but from personal experience, it truly can be so beneficial! Just give it a try and journal to get your thoughts out of your head or to help you process something.

7. Do your nails while unwinding to your favorite show.

An oldie but a goodie. If you aren't feeling very put together, this is especially the perfect thing to do for a self-care night. Throw on your favorite TV show, comfort movie, or podcast, and give yourself a quick manicure or pedicure! Seriously, what is it about how much better it makes you feel after you paint your nails?!
