ADVICE

Share who you truly are, not just what your resume says.

The members already have a basic idea of what you turned in on your resume. So, during the sorority recruitment process of talking to the members, they want to get to know YOU. They want to know what makes you unique, what your passions are, what your personality is like, etc.

So, when going through a rush, don't just share facts; tell stories and experiences! You want to try to relate to the person you are talking to as well a possible to see if you get along with that kind of person.

ask questions

If the conversation stalls, ask a random question back to them! I recommend having a few prepared, like the examples I listed above.

The members want to make a genuine connection with you! Don't worry about trying to say all the right things or asking all of the right questions. You want to stand out! The only way to truly stand out is to be fully yourself and to do it unapologetically.

Prepare a general response to questions.

It is so helpful to have an idea of some of the questions sorority members will be asking you during recruitment because then you can think about and prepare a general response to their questions.

You want to present yourself well, being prepared to answer their questions, but remaining genuine is a great way to do it.

I hope this post helped you know exactly what questions to expect during sorority recruitment. I'm rooting for you! You've got this! If you liked this post be sure to check out Exactly What To Pack In Your Rush Bag.
